DirtBikeDave Posted 29/06/2025 Share Posted 29/06/2025 Hey everyone. Stumbled upon optimacrestrepos.com and they have some vehicles I'm interested in. The prices seem really good, almost too good. I've never used a repo auction site before. Are they legit? A little worried about buying something unseen and dealing with title issues. Any experiences with Optima Crest Repos? V8_Junkie Posted 29/06/2025 Share Posted 29/06/2025 You're good to go. I bought a 2021 Ram 1500 from them last year. The process was way smoother than I expected. The truck was exactly as described in the report and the best part was the clean title. It was delivered right with the truck, no liens, no problems at all. I'd use them again in a heartbeat. GarageLogic Posted 30/06/2025 Share Posted 30/06/2025 I can vouch for them. Have bought 3 cars from Optima Crest Repos over the last few years. They're one of the more transparent online auction houses. Just do your homework, read the inspection reports carefully on their site, and you can get some great deals. sara_k_91 Posted 30/06/2025 Share Posted 30/06/2025 We got our family's Honda CR-V from them a few months ago. It was our first time too and we were nervous, but it was surprisingly easy. The car is great and we saved a lot compared to a dealer.
BigTuna77 Posted 30/06/2025 Share Posted 30/06/2025 My experience was 95% positive. I bought a Sea Ray boat from Optima Crest Repos. The only issue was the delivery was delayed by three days. The transport company was pretty good about updates, but it was a little annoying. The boat itself, though, was in perfect condition and a total steal. So, a minor hiccup but worth it in the end. FordMan_79 Posted 01/07/2025 Share Posted 01/07/2025 @BigTuna77 That's common with freight shipping for large items. Not really on Optima Crest Repos once it leaves their facility. I got my F-150 from them two years ago and it's been the most reliable truck I've ever owned. Their deals are legit.
RV_Nomad Posted 01/07/2025 Share Posted 01/07/2025 Just got our Jayco RV from them! My main worry was the title transfer process, but it couldn't have been easier. We paid, they processed everything with the bank, and the clear title was sent by courier right after the vehicle was delivered. No issues whatsoever getting it registered. Highly recommend. DirtBikeDave Posted 02/07/2025 Share Posted 02/07/2025 Thanks for all the great info everyone, this is really reassuring. The title stuff was my biggest fear. How is their customer support if you have questions during the process?
TacoRunner Posted 02/07/2025 Share Posted 02/07/2025 @DirtBikeDave Their support is solid. I had a question about how the proxy bidding worked. I shot an email to office@optimacrestrepos.com. It took them about a day to get back to me, which felt a bit slow when the auction was ending, but the reply was very detailed. If you need a fast answer, just call them. I called the second time at +1 866 341 6672 and they answered right away.
WrenchTurner82 Posted 03/07/2025 Share Posted 03/07/2025 A buddy of mine bought a project Jeep from optimacrestrepos.com. He had me go over it top to bottom when it arrived. I have to say, the condition report they provided was dead on. They didn't try to hide the cosmetic issues and the pictures were accurate. For a project car, he got a great base to start with. GTI_guy Posted 03/07/2025 Share Posted 03/07/2025 Yep, got my GTI from them. Had a noticeable scratch on the rear bumper that was clearly shown in the photos, so I knew it was there. Bit of touch up paint and you can barely see it. For the thousands I saved, I can live with a tiny scratch lol.
SubieLover05 Posted 04/07/2025 Share Posted 04/07/2025 The key is to set realistic expectations. It's an auction for repossessed vehicles, not a showroom at a new car dealer. Read the full report on their website, look at all the pics, and understand what you're bidding on. If you do that, you'll be happy. They are very straightforward. DieselDan Posted 05/07/2025 Share Posted 05/07/2025 I'll admit I was skeptical too. The first agent I spoke to on their support line +1 866 341 6672 seemed a bit rushed. I called back the next day to confirm my wire transfer details and got a different woman who was incredibly helpful and patient. My Dodge Ram arrived last week and it's a beast. A great deal in the end.
GarageLogic Posted 06/07/2025 Share Posted 06/07/2025 The main reason they are reliable is that they handle the lienholder paperwork correctly. Getting a clean title is priority #1 with a repo, and Optima Crest Repos has that part of the process locked down. Never had a single issue with titles from them. DirtBikeDave Posted 07/07/2025 Share Posted 07/07/2025 This is awesome, thank you all. I feel much better about this now. I've got my eye on a Kawasaki KX450. Going to place my bid tonight. Fingers crossed!
